atlanta family reunion

We went to Atlanta to see my brother Mike, his two boys - Jonathan and Jesse, my dad and my step-mom - Gretchen. Summer rode with us from Athens...

Mike was there for a business conference and so we all met and had a family reunion!

We had so much fun visiting. We spent alot of good quality time, even if we were just playing rummy in the hotel lobby! :)

The kids enjoyed the hotel pool as well.

It was really the best family time that we have had in years!

Thanks Mike for planning it and thanks Dad for making it happen for us!

We took Emma for her first haircut and she LOVED it. She keeps asking to go get another one!

And baby makes...

SEVEN!!!

(including Tim and I, of course...)

We have some wonderful news!!!
We are pregnant with another little Bailey!
Baby Number Five! or "Cinco" as we like to call him/her...
I am almost 18 weeks and am due at the end of October. We are so, so excited and can't wait to have another little one join our family.
We "think" that this might be a boy, just based on the way I am carrying and the way I am feeling... but we shall see.
Timmy, of course, is stoked about the possibility of more testosterone in the house.
Anyway, just thought we'd share.

Emma, sing us a song...

This was taken on our trip to North Florida in January...
Emma has a little problem staying on track with her vocals. She just slips into retro mode with no warning whatsover... Of course, I'm sure that all our giggling doesn't help much either...


And this one was at the Bizub's house in Florida. We were having some worship time and Emma just would not stay focused on Jesus! :)

happygreenbee presents... our EMMA!!

I got an email this morning informing me that Emma was chosen for happygreenbee's email ad campaign!!!

She was in a happygreenbee fashion show here in Washington back in 2006 (click here to see pictures of that) and then I took her to a photo shoot in Athens last year. They chose her out of hundreds of children to be the model holding their new cloth dolly.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

L O S T

Our friends Hank and Nichole Gautreaux had the most AWESOME Lost party EVER!
Six couples gathered at their home for the season four premiere and holy cow did we have a blast!!! (pun intended, of course...)
The decorations were amazing and Hank even made a personal DHARMA orientation video for the evening. See it on youtube below...We laughed so hard, I think we cried. He came into the room in a bio-suit and a gas mask to plug in the video to the TV. Too funny.
There were dharma stickers on everything from the beer to the toilet!!! And a stack of books in the restroom were reads that have been featured or referenced on the show!
I had a really great time helping with the "hatch computer" which even beeped like the real one and allowed you to enter the "numbers" to make it stop... It was a riot.
There was a VERY detailed chalk drawing of the "blast door map" on little Hank Adam's chalkboard table, with a spotlight on it for effect!
I also made a LOST cupcake scene thingee... That was fun, too.

S'mores night at the Bailey house...

My aunt Barbara always sends us a little treat each Christmas to enjoy as a family. This year she sent a "S'more" lunchbox. It was so cute. We gathered around our little fireplace and had a great time. Emma in particular loved the marshmallows. For some bizarre reason, she insists that they are called "Mah-kets" which sounds an awful lot like she wants some maggots. "Mommy, I haf anoder mah-ket pees?"
